Well, Dad made it back to work. He did fine. He will be on days for 4 weeks.
Work for me is going good now. Hopefully, there will not be anyone else leaving. For those I forgot to tell or the subject did not come up, 7 RNS left in the span of 4-6 weeks. Makes for a whole new work place. Most went to work for UHC insurance at home.
Amanda called me and asked me to take care the boys Saturday while she and Billy had there garage sale. Fine with me! Actually, they will come Friday night, so we will have a great time.
I think I will let Dad sleep in the other room and the boys and I can have the king size bed. That sounds like great fun to me. Can't wait.
Hope Susan had a happy birthday. Ann turned 23 and Susan 25 this month. Where did that time go?
Deanna, I can not believe how those girls are growing.
Amanda, I need to find out about all of Lance's cousins names!
Susan, I love your purse.
Ann, no new post for you?
Love you all, mom

I am Back
I am going to post. I have not done this in such along time that I probably forgot.
If you are reading this you will know that I figured it out.
Dad is doing great. He is getting ready to go back to work on Monday.
He will be on 4 weeks of days and than go back on nights.
Get this. Tomorrow he is going with me on my visits.
I am on call and I have two patients to see. One in Brazoria and one in Matagordia.
He was telling me how to cut across from Brazoria to Matagordia on 521 and I asked if he wanted to go with me. He just checked out 2 new books from the library, so I told he could read while I admitted the patient. So, he agreed. This is great for me because I do not have to drive and go by myself. If no other visits come up I might get him to take me down to the beach to watch the waves for awhile. We will see what tomorrow brings.
Believe it or not we have wireless internet now. It is great! I can actually get on the computer and read the blogs and my email without reading a book while I am waiting for items to come up.
So be checking your e-mails because I might be send out some.
Better go now. I actually think I will drink my sleepy time tea and go to bed. Bye for now.
Love mom.

READY OR NOT --HERE I COME
Well, tomorrow is my big day!
Off to Indianna for a new grandbaby.
Last year it was Montana for Gabe. Where did that year go?
Who would ever have thought I would be doing the same thing this year.
This year we get a girl.
My plane will leave at 8:10 pm and arrive in Indianapolis at 11:31 pm on Monday, October 29.
Deanna is off the next day so we will see how long Shelby lets us sleep Tuesday morning.
Wednesday is Halloween. I hope everyone has a good day with Trick of Treating.
I will be flying back Monday, November 12.
Deanna and I will let you know when Tessa makes her arrival.
Until than all take care and love you all.

Sunday
Today is Sunday and Dad is off.
He is plannning on going back on days Oct. 22nd. I was getting just tooooo lonesome and he needed some rest.
I have my ticket. Three more weeks to go. I fly out Oct. 29th at 8:05 pm and come home Nov. 12 at 4:00pm. Dad being on days can take me to the airport and pick me up.
Deanna said that she is off on Oct. 30 so she and Shelby can pick me up from the airport and we can sleep late on Tuesday morning. You know how it goes. Best plans are made to broken.
We will see what little Tessa says about this. She might decide she wants to be there when I get to Indianna and than someone else will be picking me up. Time will only tell.
I can not believe that it has been a year ago I was doing the same thing. Gabe will be a year old and I can not believe it.
I really do feel that I will have a break next year. Two years in a row, flying out of Texas for babies in October and November! Who would have ever dreamed this when you all were little and running around. No one knows the future, that is for sure.
I went to see the Heimanns in Katy yesterday. I had a great visit. Billy cooked some great steaks. The boys and I played. The highlight of the afternoon was when grandma pulled them in their wagon for 3 city blocks to the park. I got my exercise.
Garrett is always thinking. He had hit his brother on the back and Billy popped him for it and than tried to explain to him that things will change one day. He told him, "One day when you hit Lance, he will be bigger and hit you back!" Garret looked at him and that responded, "Than I will hit him back."
I will close now. Nothing else really going on. Mary Ann decided that she is going to get herself a car before she retires. John wants one kind and of course Mary Ann wants a different one. We will see who wins.
Sylvia and James are busy making strudels for the church bazaar auctions. She made 12 for the Hungerford bazaar this weekend and 700 dollars for the church.
Next weekend is the East Bernardbazaar and she plans to make 12 for that auction also.
Take care and talk to you'll later. Ann, your hair cut is cute. I agree with Deanna. I do not ever believe that you have had it that short. Easy to take care of I am sure.

Parties
We had a great time at Grandma's Birthday Party. As you can see we had a table of old pictures. Billy is showing Garrett how things looked than.
Grandma looked great and enjoyed every minute of it.
The boys did not want to take this picture.
This was our planning day for Mona's Luala shower. My sister's needed a day to "get away" so I took them to Matagordia. I think I need another one of those days.
Carter Yackel, Martin's oldest, was very pleased when I bought something from his school fund raiser. He is a cutie. This was at Mona's shower.
This is the "new" Mona and her soon to be husband, Don. They are holding a picture frame that Mary Ann and I made. We picked the sea shells up a Matagordia the day we went to "get away from it all" and glued them on the frame. It was really pretty. It was a copy of the invitation to the shower in it.
Fufu had a great time with her with the children and watching Mona and Don open their gifts.
Billy and Carol Ann came down from the shower. Their son graduated from high school this year.
Another picture of the "great"frame. We are doing fine. Dad has been working all the time. He has had one weekend off in the last month. You know how it is at Hudson - feast or fanime. (Your know what I mean. Never could spell.

Busy Week---Month---Year
Can not seem to catch up with anything this year. It has been a busy one. I will take time to post now before I get busy again.
You would think with no one around I wound get alot done. That is not the case. When I get home from work it seems like I just melt into the couch. Hopefully this week will be better. This weekend I did get to mop the floors and vaccum. Saturday afternoon I went to Moulton to Aunt Annie's 105 birthday party. Dad was working so I went by myself. It was great to see all the counsins that I haven' t seen in a long time. Aunt Annie looked great. She only uses a walker and walks fast with it! I do have pictures and will try to post them later, but I decided to post fiirst so that you would hear from me. When I get with putting the pictures on her I get confused. Thanks to Susan I got the last pictures on here. I just do not have the patiance to wait on all this stuff.
Today Shirly and Anna are coming over for us to work on Grandma's birthday party invitation list. That is less that four weeks away.
I did get my dish put in for the tv this Friday and it is great. Dad did not get to take a nap on Saturday because he starting watching the show about fixing the big truck. He really enjoyed it.
I do miss my roomies, but I hear that Susan and Justin are doing great. That was a good experience for all of us. Now that poor room... I am trying really clean up around here so when I am not for sure what I am going to do with something or I need to take something somewhere to someone I use that room to put things in. Oh well, at least I am trying to clean and get rid of some stuff.
This week I do not having anything planned. I hope to sew on Susan's curtains when I get home from work. Dad is going back on 10 hrs this week. He has been on 12 hour shifts at night since we got back from Montana. Today he is cathing up with the yard. With all the rain it is going like crazy.
Well , all stay well. Mom

July Fourth 2007 found us in Polson, Montana withe the John Heimann family. This was a great vacation that we had with Ann in Montana.
The drive was long and challenging and it was said more than once, "We will not do this again!"
Then after we got there the trip was worth it. As you can see we were at a Fourth of July parade. This was Gabe's first parade and probably one of Dad's viewed in a long time.
Dad was very excited with the old cars and had to have a conversation with the man driving this car. It ended with, "My dad remodeled one of those!"
Then there was Dad's dream car!!!!!! Got to build one of those again!.
This was the group on the corner with Allen taking the picture.
Gabe had the best view of all.
The rest of the Fourth was spent in the back yard with food, fireworks, and good conversation.

CATCH UP
Well, it has been a while since I have posted. One of the reasons is that this computer takes for ever to hook up to the Internet. It will lock up when you try to go on line. One day I tried 4 times and the computer locked up every time. Susan and Dad have both called the WCNET and Dell computer. This morning I tried and on the first time I was connected. So, this is my chance to do some catching up.
Daisy woke me up at 8:00 this am. When she gets up she is waiting for Taco to play and then for our morning butter and toast together. Yes, the dogs are very spoiled. Taco sleeps with Dad every day when he takes his nap. He knows when I am getting ready to go to bed and he jumps on the bed and lays on the corner watching the door for me to come to bed. It is surprising how Taco and Daisy have become buddies. You would not believe how they play together ever moring and evening.
2007 has been a year of surprises so far and also doctor appointments. For some crazy reason I starting having this lower abdominal pain and it stayed with me from Jan. 15th until now.
I had a cat scan and nothing could be found and then about the time I had the scan it went away. Dr Satterfield said that it could have been a kidney stone. What ever it was I am ready to feel better. One thing I did gain from it is that I learned that I can live without tea. Since I had some blood in my urine also I am staying off of caffeine and tea. I have learned to enjoy juices and water. So that was that problem. Then in December I went for my yearly lab work and it was f0und that my thyroid test was abnormal. I have been going to this specicalist in Katy and he has diagnosed it as Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. My own immune system is damaging thyroid cells. So I am now hyperthyroid and then he said I will go hypothyroid. I take medication now for hyperthyroid and my next appointment will be March 19 and I am sure more blood will be drawn to see what is going on. Really this is very common and there is not any problems in treating it. Only thing is that it is genetic. So remember this kids when the doctor ask if you have any thyroid problems in the family. On top of the belly and thyroid, I have been having a tooth ache. So this week I had one of my back teeth pulled. So as you can see I have met my dedutablele with my new insurance. I feel great now!!!!!!!
Now for surprises. Ann and Ryan really surprised us! They said that they just had to come home because they had not been home for awhile. I believed that. What a surprise when I saw the real reason! The big problem was I was on call that weekend. When we were going to Greek Brothers Saturday night with Ryan's family and Susan and Justin I got a call right when we were walking in. No food for me that night had to take care of the patient. Then Sunday we were celebrating at our house and at four I got a call and left and did not make it back till six. The kids and Dad did good. They had shrimp and steak ready when I got there. The kids still say I planned that call so I wound not have to cook. I will never tell. I was able to sit and enjoy the meal. Ryan's parents had come over also so we had a great time with that celebration. I am so happy for Ryan and Ann and yes Deann it is a good feeling to have all my children happy with great husbands and wives and husbands to be. I feel very blessed for I have a great family.
Now, about this outer surprise Yea!!!!!!another grandchild. Everyone at work think I am crazy because I get soooooooo excited about my grandchildren. Pictures of them are all over my office. I am waiting for an update from Montana of Gabe.
Toby and Deanna, Dad and I are so excited! Cannot wait to see you at Easter!
Talking about grandchildren, Lance had a great birthday party. I cannot believe how he has grown up since January. He is talking and is his own little person.
Well the house is waking up. On Saturday morning I am always the first one up. Usually the dogs will need to go outside. When I am up I say up. Then I stay quite until everyone else wakes up. Dad working nights does not get in till late and usually sleeps till nine or ten. Susan is tired from the week and Justin also works nights and is catching up on his sleep. This morning it worked out great because I worked on this posting.
Amanda, thanks for starting this a year ago. Its great to keep up with everyone.
Better close now. I am going to try to work in the yard today.
Keep posting and know that Dad and I love all of you. MOM
(Remember i am not a great speller. Love me any way OK?)

CATHCH UP
Well, due to request I feel like I need to make an attempt to update this blog since I have not posted in two months.
It has been a busy two months. First, Dad and I were getting ready for Justin and Susan to move in. We did get the garage room cleaned up as you know, because Susan and Justin are living in it.
Then it came Christmas. No need to say any more. As you all know it was a great one. Missed the Reeves and the Heimanns from Montana, but we all know that one Christmas we will be al together again. The main thing is that all are well and healthy and that everone had a great Christmas where ever they were at. Thanks to Amanda, these blogs have made being apart alot easier. I start reading and I get so involved in the picture and story I feel that I am there or alot closer. I finish reading and I go "That was a great visit!". Keep the pictures coming. I will try to do better. As you all know I am not that good at doing pictures. Now that Susan is here, whenever we get time I will do a better job. Susan and Justin went to his parents this afternoon, so I decided to just write and get pictures on the next one.
I had a great birthday! Thanks for all the great gifts and cards. As always my kids showed me that I have the best kids in the world! Bill and Amanda had a great meal. Garrett organized the party. He told us what we should do. It was "light the candles--sing happy birthday---blow out the candles---eat cake---party games".. What party games Garrett? Pinata? Let me tell you Garrett knows what a party should be like!
Today Robert and I went and got a new wash machine. We got a Maytag--the best--yea right!!!
We will see how it does. It has a drum capacity of 3.3. It does hold alot of clothes. The other washer would not spin out the clothes and our light bill went uppppppppppppp! We will see if this will make a different. Of course, everyone's electric bill went up. I gues will start eating by candle light more and go to bed early.
Dad is working 10 hour night shift. Last week he worked 61 hours. He had worked 8 hours on Saturday. He was suppose to get a nap today. Well, by the time we got the washer, he did his dollar store shopping, and wrapped the pipes it was 5:00pm. So much for a nap....
As everyone knows this is going to be a cold week for us in Texas. Those that live in Montana and Indiana expect to have ice. Us Texans have to realy get ready for this type of weather.
Lubbock as you saw on Ann's and Ryan's blog had ice. I was glad that Ryan did not get hurt when he fell on the ice.
Well, I guess that is all I have to say. I will post some pictures. All take care and keep on blogging!

Gabe
As you can see Gabe sleeps like his dad with his hand over his head. The last post I did not know that the picture transferred. That was taken on the way back from the airport when I first got there. This is Gabe after his tummy was full. His dad had bought him that outfit to wear to Grandma Pat's house on Sunday for a Thanksgiving dinner.
Not much going on. Was on call this week so I kept low around the house. Glad this week is over. All I have is tomorrow yet. Only 2 patients to see unless something unexpected comes up.
Just finished a movie, so now I am off to bed.

Monatan News
Well, we have been in baby land here in Montana. Monday we went to Missoula for Melani's check up and brought her grandmother to the air port. Missoula is so pretty. The airports at Missoula and Kallispell are realy small. Like one large building . Tuesday Gabe was circumsided (sp?). Today Wednesday it was quiet. We were able to stay at home . I watched two movies. The weather is nice and cool. I have really enjoyed it.
My flight leaves at 2:00pm on Saturday and I should be home by 9:00pm. Vacation will be over. That is ok. Just go back to work to earn some more.
All take care. Mom from Montana

Snowing in Montana
Well, as all of you know by now I made it to Montana. The flights were good. The fist plan was small. It was strange for it did not have sit number 13. At Salt Lake City I made the switch to the flight to Kellispel. Our landing was delayed due to AIR FORCE TWO landing in front of our plan and we had to circle the airport.
It had snowed her on Sunday and everything is still covered with snow. It is so pretty. Tonight it started snowing again and but it probably will not stick. It is suppose to be an ice storm in the morning or during the night. We will see when we get up tomorrow morning.
Gabe is precious just like all my other grandchildren and I thank the Lord that he gave me this chance to be here. It will be something when I get all four together. That does not matter. The main thing is that I have been so blessed to have these precious grandchildren that are healthy. LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!!!!!
Of course my fist blessing was to have 5 great children, second that they all found great signicant others and now third I have theses wonderfull grandchildren. Could not get any better.
Take care and I will keep all posted. Love mom
It had snowed her on Sunday and everything is still covered with snow. It is so pretty. Tonight it started snowing again and but it probably will not stick. It is suppose to be an ice storm in the morning or during the night. We will see when we get up tomorrow morning.

BIG HOME COMING
Well, the Montana Heimanns are coming home today. I spoke with John and Melanie today. They are ready to get back home. Can not blame them. Gabe did develope some jaundice and has spend some time in a bilirubin blanket. Things have changed. Now they have these blankets to wrap around them and it does the same as those bilirubin lights. I am so glad that they created something different . I hated those lights. I felt the baby was so exposed and you had to cover their little eyes to protect them from the ultraviolet rays. They say wrapped in the blanket Gabe is like a little "glow worm." They have to take him to the hospital in Polson tomorrow to have his bilirubin checked again. Good thing the hospital is just a few blocks away. John said to look for pictures on the hospital web site, because they took pictures yesterday to post on it. He said when they get home, as soon as he gets a chance he will post pictures.
Better go for now. Dad and I are going to babysit Garret and Lance tonight so Bill and Amanda can go to a Halloween party. Take care and all have a good night. Love mom

GABE'S BIRTHDAY
As everyone knows by now there is a New Heimann in Montana! Weight 8lbs 15 oz. John said that he has alot of blonde-brown hair and long eyelashes.
I talked to John about 9:35 pm and Melanie was in her room--111.
Gabe had already nursed in the Recovery Room.
John just had a cot brought into the room. They will be staying there for about 3 days.
They are at Community Medical Center, Missoula, Montana.
The phone number to the hospital is 406 728 4100 and she is room 111.
Need to try to get some sleep. This has been a long day. John had called me about 6:00 am and told me they were at the hosptital. Since then it has been waiting for phone calls.
This having a baby in another state is difficult!!!!!!!

Also, another thing I am working on is Susan and Justin's move. I have been cleaning out things and all is going well with that project. Robert is working nights so I have time in the afternoons to get alot done.

I will close for now. I will have a busy week at work this weel. The girl I work with in intake will be out all week. It will be a challege to take care of intake by myself. It should go fine and be a fast week. Next week end I am going to take care of Lance and Garrett. I am looking forward to that .

Sunday
We had a great day today. As I said yesterday, we were going fishing. The alarm clock went off at 5:30 am. "You did want to go, didn't you," said dad as I laid there. "Sure, let's go".
We were in Palacios by 7:00 am and the wind was blowing. We drove around and Dad did go out on the rocks and fished for about an hour. I sat and read my new James Patterson mystery.
About 8:30am Dad then proceed to show me all the places he had gone fishing with the boys in P alacious and trans palacios river. We did make it down to Matagordia and boy was it different thene we were there. The rain had been moving in all the long the way and the wind was something else in Matagordia. I took some pictures of the rough waves. I took pictures of dad fishing and Sue will be here next weekend so maybe she can help me get them in folders so I can put them on the blog.
From Matagordia we came home through Bay City and ate atttttttt Diamond's!. That was Dads favorite place to eat when he worked the vending route with Svateks. He said that it was alittle lareger and we did enjoy the food. So Dad had a day of traveling to places that he really enjoyed with the family. He would say,:" Don't you remember we came here twice with all five kids to fish.?" I told him I must have been a busy mom than and did not put that down in my memory. But you know he has agreat memory for places and things.
We got home around 1:oopm and than he helped me rearrange the blue room to get a book shelf that I had bought him for his books. I found at a used furniture store and it is perfect. He is trying to collect all kind of series now. Anyone need a book? Come to Robert's Boookshelf
Dad is making steaks for supper even though it is raining on and off. With our little propane grille we have gotten spoiled and love your steaks.
I hope all are well and enjoyed reading about Robert's birthday weekend. By the way, the cake turned out great! Love all

OCTOBER 14
Well, I am trying to post a picture from my camera and I guesss it still did not work. Well, practice makes perfect. We had a good day today. Dad and I went to Walmart and I surprised hem with getting his fishing licsences. Well, he decided to do the whole thing and he got deer , turkey, and what ever. I do believe that I surprised him. Now, I just got through finishing making his birthday cake--German chocolate form stratch. I know why I do not do that cake often. Takes to many pots and pans. Well, I got the kichen all clean up and now Dad will come in and make his tea. Even though they are talking about rain tomorrow, we are still planning on getting up early and going down to Palacios to check it out. As soon as we got home from church Dad was out there getting his fishing gear together. I think I did good by lighting a fire to get him going fishing again.. I have a good book to read, so it should be nice.
I hope all are doing well. I am enjoying keepping up with everyone on the blogs. Keep up the good work and I will try to do more. For now have a good Sunday!
